Educational Qualification
The candidates applying for the SSC GD recruitment must have passed the 10th examination from any recognised board.
Age Criteria
The minimum age limit should be 18 while the maximum age should not be over 23, as of January 1, 2024.
Candidates born before 02/01/2001 and after 01/01/2006 are not eligible to participate in the recruitment.
The age relaxation of individuals from different categories also varies. 3 years of age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
Selection Procedure

- The examination will be conducted in Hindi, English, and 13 more regional languages, such as Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese, Konkani, Kannada, Manipuri, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Physical standard tests for general candidates require a Height of 170 cm (for males) and 157 cm (for females) and a chest of 80 cm, with an increment of 5 cm during expansion.
- The Physical Standard Test for the ST candidates requires a height of 162.5 cm (for males) and 150 cm (for females) and a chest of 76 cm, with an increment of 5 cm during expansion.
- The Physical Standard Test for the General/SC/OBC candidates of the North East should have a height of 162.5 cm (male) and 152.5 cm (female) and a chest circumference of 77 cm with an increment of 5 cm during expansion.
- For the physical efficiency test, the male candidates have to run 5 km in the span of 24 minutes, while the female candidates have to run 1.6 km within 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
